baby boy quilt

I find it a challenge to use a classical color combination like blue and white for a modern and fresh looking baby quilt. Don't get me wrong, I like the colors, it is just that this combination has been used so many times, I find it hard to turn it into something special.
Still, I have to say, I like this quilt, I know, I am bragging, well, almost...
This quilt is for a colleague and friend and I hope she is happy with the pattern I chose.

 The first time I used a pattern with triangles, I chose half square triangles. It was a nightmare, even though the quilt turned out to look ok, but every row was uneven and almost all the points of the triangles were missing in the end.
However, sewing with equilateral triangles is a whole different story. They are much easier to cut and I never had to think twice which corner has to overlap when I did the sewing.
So, what I want to say is that I am a huge fan and in search of new ways to use these triangles.... so, more to come.

hier mal ein Quilt, an dem ich Y Nähte geübt habe... das Ergebnis, also der Quilt, gefällt mir sehr gut... aber die Technik?
Geht das auch ohne das ständige Anzeichnen der Echpunkte auf den einzelnen Stoffstücken?

Ich denke, ich werde als erstes meinem iPad eine neue Hülle verpassen. Kann sein, daß der Stoff süchtig macht. Ich halte Euch auf dem Laufenden...
